ABOUT THE ELEVO INSTITUTE AND THINKPLUS

The Elevo Institute is a not-for-profit research institute. Its educational research focus aims to grow young minds to meet the challenges of the future ahead. ThinkPlus, an initiative of The Elevo Institute, has dedicated the past decade to developing a foundational learning program to help Australian primary school educators engage and equip their students to become confident lifelong learners. We collaborate with schools and universities to co-design resources using feedback and the latest psychology, education, and neuroscience research.

POSITION OVERVIEW

As the School and Community Partnership Manager, you will be instrumental in developing and fostering relationships between ThinkPlus and Government, private and independent schools across Australia. Reporting to the Board and working as part of the ThinkPlus Team your primary day to day objective will be to identify, cultivate, and maintain strategic partnerships with schools and the broader education sector to support our mission and enhance the learning experiences of young Australians. This role requires a blend of relationship-building, strategic thinking, and entrepreneurial spirit to drive impactful collaborations.

Work from Home is possible. We usually meet on-line, with occasional face to face meetings.

RESPONSIBILITIES

1. PARTNERSHIP DEVELOPMENT

  • Identify potential schools, corporate sponsors, and community organizations aligned with the ThinkPlus’ objectives and values.
  • Build strong relationships with and provide initial support to ThinkPlus Schools to enable strong program implementation.
  • Manage the onboarding of new ThinkPlus schools and the retention process for existing schools from year to year.
  • Initiate and nurture relationships with key stakeholders to explore collaboration opportunities.
  • Develop tailored partnership proposals and presentations highlighting mutual benefits and impact on student learning.

2. BUSINESS DEVELOPMENT:

  • Manage the Lead Nurturing program and work with the ThinkPlus Appointment Setter and our Principal Consultant.
  • Research and analyse market trends, industry needs, and potential revenue streams for ThinkPlus.
  • Develop innovative strategies to generate revenue through partnerships, sponsorships, and other business opportunities.
  • Negotiate partnership agreements, sponsorship deals, and contracts to ensure favourable terms for ThinkPlus while meeting partner objectives.

3. COLLABORATION AND FACILITATION:

  • Serve as the primary point of contact for new and existing ThinkPlus schools, coordinating meetings, events, and collaborative initiatives.
  • Develop contacts with conference/exhibition organisers to deliver speaking engagements to promote ThinkPlus and the benefits of the ThinkPlus metacurriculum.
  • Assist the ThinkPlus team as needed with other administrative tasks.
  • Attendance at Board Meetings and regular ThinkPlus Team Meetings

4. PERFORMANCE MONITORING AND REPORTING:

  • Track and evaluate the effectiveness of partnerships and business development initiatives in achieving strategic objectives.
  • Prepare regular reports and presentations for the Board, highlighting key metrics, successes, and areas for improvement.
  • Utilise feedback and data-driven insights to refine partnership strategies and enhance overall performance.

5. BRAND REPRESENTATION:

  • Represent ThinkPlus at community events, conferences, and networking functions to promote our mission, values, and partnership opportunities.
  • Maintain a strong presence on social media platforms and other communication channels to amplify ThinkPlus’ brand and engage with potential partners.

QUALIFICATIONS AND NECESSARY SKILLS:

  • Bachelor’s degree in project management, community development, social services, education, or related field.
  • Working with Children Check
  • Proven experience in business development, partnership management, or related roles, preferably in the education sector.
  • Willingness to travel interstate when required.
  • Strong presentation skills and proven ability to present to a variety of audiences, including teachers, educators and system leaders.
  • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to build and maintain relationships with diverse stakeholders.
  • Excellent communication skills, including written, verbal, and presentation abilities.
  • Strategic thinker with a proactive and entrepreneurial mindset.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, ZOOM platforms and HUBSPOT software.
  • Knowledge of education policy, Australian curriculum framework, community engagement strategies, and marketing principles is desirable.
